Code of Conduct
The JSDay Canarias event is dedicated to provide a set of activities totally free of abuse for all people attending, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, height, complexion, race, age or religion.
Any kind of abuse is forbidden in any of its forms towards the people participating in the event.
What is considered abuse?
The abuse includes the following cases, although it is not limited to them:
- Comments that reinforce a position of social domination related to gender, identity or personal expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, height, complexion, race or religion.
- The publication of images of sexual content in public spaces.
- Deliberate intimidation, harassment or follow-up.
- The photograph or recording of abuse.
- The continued interruption of conferences, workshops or any other activity carried out during the event.
- Inappropriate physical contact.
- Unwanted sexual attention.
- Encourage or encourage any of the behaviors indicated above.
Application of the code of conduct
The code of conduct of the event is addressed to all attendees, speakers, teachers, sponsors, collaborators and volunteer staff, who must accept to participate in the event.
If any person or entity engages in abusive behavior, the Organization of the event reserves the right to take any action it deems appropriate, covering from the warning to the cessation of its behavior, to the expulsion of the event without the refund of the ticket.
All the event team will endeavor to enforce this code of conduct.
Notification
For any incident, the Organization of the event will be present and clearly identified by means of the corresponding identifications or T-shirts, during the course of the event.

If for some reason you consider that you are suffering an abuse or observe that someone is committing it, please contact the Organization as soon as possible.
You can report us of your problem personally by directing your complaint to any person of the Organization or by sending us an email.
Notify us any incident to info@canariasjs.comWe can not immediately answer the reports sent via email but the Organization will investigate them as soon as possible and we will take the necessary measures to rectify the situation.
Education and respect
No abusive behavior is allowed during the event so it is expected that any person or entity participating in the event and who has been urged to cease any abusive behavior, obey immediately.
The sponsors and collaborators of the event will be subject to this policy of controlling abuses, not using images, activities or other content of a sexual nature.
Photos and videos
If you are going to take pictures during the event, please ask before taking it to the attendees who will appear in them. We understand that not all people feel comfortable appearing in photos.
